Shelley Bruce-Allen of Devlin, ON Wins $26,090!
Riverside Foundation for Health Care is excited to announce that the winner of the March Riverside 50/50 electronic raffle is Shelley Bruce-Allen of Devlin, ON with the winning ticket number F-2800492. Bruce-Allen takes home the biggest monthly pot yet of $26,090, with the same amount going to the Foundation. The draw was made Wednesday, March 31st at 11:00am in the Foundation Office.
Bruce-Allen who couldn’t contain her emotion said that her win is a turn of luck for her. She began purchasing tickets in the first monthly draw back in November after witnessing the exemplary care that her mother received at LVGH in the fall. She stated she always thought of her ticket purchase as a donation. However, since her mother’s passing, Bruce-Allen has stepped back from work in order to care for her father, so this windfall comes at a much needed time.
This raffle is the biggest one yet and marks the fourth straight month in which the prize pot surpassed $25,000. Tickets for the April raffle are now on sale at www.riversidefoundation.ca/5050 at a cost of 3 for $5, 10 for $10 or our best deal, 60 for $20. If you prefer to purchase offline, please call the Foundation Office at 274-4803 to make arrangements. Ticket sales close Thursday, April 29th at 9:00pm with the draw taking place Friday, April 30th at 11:00 am.
All proceeds from the December-March 50/50 raffles, which total over $90,000 will be going towards the purchase of two new ultrasound machines for Riverside Health Care Facilities. These machines, which are already in use, provide better imaging and depth penetration, and their more compact size makes them ergonomically friendly for the staff administering screenings. With approximately 5,000 ultrasounds scans completed each year at Riverside Health Care, this purchase allows high quality health care to remain close to home.
